Abstract

The article is a critical edition and translation of a 17th century Icelandic hymn, Hljómi röddin barna best. The first part of this hymn is a translation by Bjarni Gissurarson (1621–1712) of Personent Hodie. The remainder is an addition of 13 stanzas by Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614–1674).
